Anyone have a garage big enough to hold the folks that would go? ... kodi, I have a regular two car garage that can be used for Scotts lift installation or any other wrenching event. It's nothing out of the ordinary, but I'd be happy to offer it up. It does have flourescent lighing, some heat and a useful amount of tools, floor jacks, jack stands, compressor, air tools, small welder, etc. Kurt

Oh, Man, I haven't even purchased the lift yet. Thanks Kurt! Very generous of you! I bet there would be a lot of newbies like myself that would like to learn a little about there Jeeps. My lift will only be a minor 2" or 2 1/2" lift and maybe a 1" body. This could be a good class for everybody though. the welding class, not everybody wants/can afford or has a place for a welder and the supply's that go with it. P.S. Who would give/teach the Lift class?

Maybe it should be more like a "Wrenching Day" ... Less like a "class".

That's my feeling too. Wrench fest! Anyone can host one. It's fun...everyone can jump into something....we did all our "accessory" stuff on the Rubi that way. Also helped two others Herc theirs, body lifts, lots of stuff that way.
again ANYONE CAN POST THAT THEY ARE DOING ONE! At anytime....

I am formerly ASE certified in Engine Performance, Steering & Suspension, and Brakes (worked as a mechanic going through ULowell). I could teach the class and show you guys a few things, but I have little patience and carry a big stick for when you mess up

UPDATE:
So, I spoke with Aaron today. He and Will decided it would be best to wait til warmer weather for all of those interested in welding. Seems they don't have decent ventillation, and are concerned that in the cold weather, we may not be too happy breathing all the smoke and fumes.
So...with that said, I am going to call them in april (already have it in my book to do so) to schedule something. Keep yer eyes peeled for future posts on this. ;D

so does anyone have a welder and want to help me out? two things:
1) i want to get front control arm skid plates (since i bashed one of mine pretty bad already), and they are weld on. only $24/pr!
2) i purchased an old utility trailer, and it needs some welding done before i can really fix it up.
i was planning on getting some help from my buddy's dad (he owns a machine shop) but he has been really busy, and i doubt he'll have a chance anytime soon. i may be changing jobs, and they have a welder there, but i don't know how to weld, so that might be kinda risky anyway...
