Ran into these pictures on the Rubicon Owners Forum. These are SOOO funny! Remind me never to drive over apparently frozen ground! So he got stuck on a ridge, ended up going down the side and thought he could make it across the "solid" ice... HAHAHAHA KEV

He's a newbie. Reasons why: 1) He's probably tresspassing 2) He looks 15 3) Wimpy All-terrain tires w/ wheel weights *sigh* 4) Too many "off road" lights 5) Snorkle 6) "Euro" tail lights 7) They winched him from one side to the other through the ice. Why not pull back up the hill? It looks like they winched him down to the ice?!?!
I apologize if any of the aforementioned "accessories" apply to anyone here, but they have no real use on a trail rig (well, maybe the snorkle, but only if he extended his distributor cap vent and encapsulated his ecu, which I doubt).

Joe,
I only posted about 1/2 the pictures... but they tried winching him back with 3 winches at a time. That's at least what they said.
Also, this happened in China... jeeps and "jeep fashion" is alot different there. You can the license plate even has some chinese text on it.
What makes you think this is a "trail rig" anyway... looks to me like its some guy that likes his jeep... has slapped on some parts that he thinks are cool and went and got stuck on a hill. Its obviously not a "trail rig".

i saw these as well on the jeepforum. i guess he tried to make it through the pond since they couldn't get over the hill, and then the bull bar broke off from the winching, so they had to leave it in the pond overnight. it got frozen into the pond, so it made an even bigger mess of the jeep. i think that's why everyone needs a hi-lift for when you are really stuck, jack it up, put some stuff under the tires, could've gotten off that hill with no prob.

Hey Kev, don't get all defensive on the "trail rig" thing. Jeebus. Obviously he didn't like his "non-trail Jeep" too much or he wouldn't of dragged it through 100 ft of 6" thick ice. You posted something funny that pokes fun at people's stupidity. I added my $.02. Don't take it too seriously.
