Hello all. I will be returning from a year long tour as a civilian firefighter in Iraq on August 24th. My wife and I are very interested in joining the club but would like to go on a ride with y'all first. Are you planning a ride before the 15th of Sept? If so, how can I join in without first becoming a member?
I have a 97 TJ with 31" Perrelli Scorpion a/t's with a stock suspension. I will be looking at many many upgrades as time goes on and will be seeking your knowledge on the best most economical way to do it without buying junk.
Thanks, "Bosco"

We may have a trail ride before Sept 15th but I am not 100% sure. You will want to get in touch with Kurt, he is our director of trails. You can PM him on here, his forum name is Kurt, or you can email him at director_of_trails@baystatejeepers.com

Welcome! I'm sure Kurt can hook you up with answers regarding upcoming runs. Your Jeep will have to meet most of the minimum requirements baystatejeepers.com/aboutus/requirements.htm (for safety reasons) so be sure to check and see if it does. Be sure to look through the tech section of the forum and ask all the questions you like. We have answers! Oh, And Welcome Back!

Thank you for the info. Are do you do any Sunday rides? Reason for asking is that we just bought the old General Store in East Brookfield. We are reopening the store as The Podunk Deli and Package Store and will be tied up on Saturdays. We plan to have it open by the 15th of Sept so it will be kind of difficult to make the Saturday runs.
What type of events do you do on Sundays if any? We really would like to join.

The reason is essentially that Sunday leaves some time for people to tend to anything on their Jeep that might have happened during the run before they have to go back to work on Monday. Of course this only works for those that work a traditional M-F job.

The 8/30 and 9/27 events are both Sundays. The Great American Jeep Rally doesn't have any wheeling though it is just the best event of the year

Welcome, and thanks for your service!!!
As Kurt has already said, most of our runs are on Saturday's. You may find the other events interesting though. The Rally will have lots of clubs booths I believe...if Baystate doesn't work out for your schedule. Although, I think most clubs run on Saturdays as well. Same reasoning!

Thanks to all for the input. I dont think I will be able make the ride on the 30th since that will be my first weekend home in a year. I already have GAJR on my calendar and the wife and I will most definately be there. Will y'all have a booth at the rally? We still definately want to join and participate as much as we can.

If your around for GAJR maybe you can volunteer your time for a bit of help. Check out the web site if interested. Thanks again, see ya"ll on the trail. FjR68
