Thanks again everyone. I have been staying with a friend all this week, which has been great since I wasn't doing so well at home by myself. I am heading home tomorrow because I have family and friend coming to move the boxes I packed before the accident and help with packing some more stuff. The movers are scheduled for Thurs the 3rd and that will be the last of it. Thank you for the offers, however, I think I am set. Not an ideal situation to be in, but I've managed to control the frustration level and go with the flow. I am really bummed about missing the Fall Crawl, but maybe I'll take a ride up on that Saturday for the meal ... by then it will do me good to get out, too.
Anyway, orthopedic PA said I will be in the boot (it's like a weighted boot and it's all velcro so the foot and lower leg are pretty secure) for 4 weeks, then it's back to ortho for x-rays and check of ankle and then maybe a small brace for two more weeks. I am still not very mobile, I spend most of the day on my friend's couch with it elevated but that will change now that I will be back home tomorrow (Sun).
Again, thank you so much for the well wishes and I cannot begin to express my appreciation to Don for his strength and aid.
Pat

I helped Pat move a week and half ago. She was looking pretty good. She still has the cast and crutches, but seemed to be moving around OK.
