I know 99% of the time these are not worth the $$ for them. However with the tube fenders the stock box had to be "modified" in order to fit. See pic below. So my options are either a AIRAID, AEM Brute or Rugged Ridge. Pricing is $252, $250 and $200 respectively, links also below. So opinions on either make? I kind of like the first two since they come with more of an air box which may need to be trimmed but will not need to be added to like the Rugged Ridge one looks like it will need to be. www.quadratec.com/products/17008_101_07.htmwww.quadratec.com/products/17012_X06_PG.htmwww.quadratec.com/products/17011_0004_07.htmStock "modified" box. Yes I know it says 4L but I do have the 2.4, Chrysler just put the 4L air box on the 2.4.

Running a K&N set up in the Rubi, no issues the last 4 years, just clean and re-oil once a year. Not sure how they compare price wise...this was a freebie.
I've got an AEM Brute Force in the truck...it's a dry filter, no oiling required.

So can chrome be painted? I really hate chrome. The old Hot Rod trick to painting a poopty chrome air cleaner was to spray it with Easy Off Oven Cleaner. Wipe it off after 10 minutes and it should remove/etch the chrome for painting. I tried it once years ago and it worked. Hopefully, they didn't change the ingredients to comply with some new mumbo jumbo.
