Got my new Rugged Ridge fender flares installed today and damn, what a difference! 7" wide, they go a long way towards covering most of my tires. The factory flares looked like a joke. Glad that's done. Still have to bolt on my Banks Monstah exhaust, have that planned for tomorrow. Or, I hit NE Dragway for the last Sundaaaaaaayyyyyyyy of the season. hmmmmmmm........ wrenchin or drive to NH (top down?), watching pre-1972 muscle cars go at it on a nice day...... tough one

If I pay someone to install my Banks cat back, does that mean I get my 'Dude' card revoked? I just don't see how I can get any torque on the cat to muffler nut to remove it. The Banks instructions say it's a 10 MM nut but there's no way that's a 10. Pretty sure it's a 1/2" and I can get a socket on there but it's facing the cat and on top of my TC skid and WTF, there's no room to turn a wrench or even get one click out of a ratchet!
Seems the only way will be to have about 18 - 24" of extension bars and a swivel joint socket or u-joint and that setup sounds like a disaster waiting to happen. I'll bet I could strip the nut without really trying.
Anyone have any experience with this?

I got 2 bolts from my muffler they pop out like wheel stud bolts Do you have a belly up?? Its a 1/2 or 12mm or 13mm I forget with a belly up you might have to drop it Even with a shovel dropping it not a bad idea you get the room that way
It is a PITA trust me I done it a few times
What i did was to pop out the bolts on the muffler I used a vise and a nut + little hammer they came right out And put 2 bolts + nuts on it nuts facing back It makes it easier for the next time you do it
It took me a afternoon to put my cat back on still didnt fit 100% on the last pipe hanger
Or pay some 1 it will be alot easier

Tx guys. I feel better about dropping it somewhere and having a professional do it. I wonder is a 20 year old kid who learned auto mechanics at the Voke is a professional....... whatever. Long as it's done and I keep my nuckles on my hands, that's a fair trade

If you bring it to a shop and they break something, they will monkey - rig something, give it back to you, and not tell you about it. You'll find out about it next time you're under there.
Ask me how I know...
