Here's a link that I use to read plugs.... www.nightrider.com/biketech/spkplghnbook.htmLooks like # 3 and 4 have ash deposits. Not bad but like you said, they're only a couple months old. If they are ash deposits...., well, you can see what that web site says about that.

Even with the ash, those plugs shouldn't cause a skip. Check compression. If cyl 4 is low, pump some oil in and see if it goes up. If it doesn't, it's a valve issue. I recommend picking up some AutoRX www.auto-rx.com/ which will help clean the ring packs and condition the valve seals. It's NOT a snake oil. I've used it with great results and it is very highly regarded on an oil forum I am on. It cleans during your normal oil change interval. Then you run a "rinse" phase of a couple thousand miles. When your done, your filter will feel like a brick with all the doo-dee.

AutoRX is sold online only. The last time I bought, I ordered 3 bottles at once to save some $.
When I replace vacuum elbows/line, I usually go to NAPA. Advance or Auto Zone don't seem to carry the "intricate" automotive needs. Consumer Auto Parts is a good source too.

Throw those Autolites away...if it's an older 4.0 go get some Champions, if it's newer (2003 and up) buy some Denzo plugs. These are what came from the factory.
I'm a big believer in replacing maintenance items with what came when new. Motorcraft in a Ford, Delco in a GM, etc...
