I need to do the water pump in the XJ (91/94 engine) anything I should know before tackling it? Bolts tend to break? I'll also do the idler pulley while I'm at it.

If you need (or want ) a new radiator, fan clutch or anything basically between the front of the block and the radiator support now is the time to get it! ;D ;D You are already going to be taking it out anyways. That's how I talked my wife into the new fan clutch and 3 core radiator on my rig.

Thermostats are cheap... I'd do that too.
I'd also check the radiator & heater hoses.

So, I got the job done in no time, even changed the idler pully and thermostat. I must admit I did have help! I insisted he wear some gloves but he wouldn't listen!
