I noticed last week that my passengers front shock is leaking. I have 2 questions for ya
I have a 3" lift. Where can I get shocks that are built 3" longer than stock? The ones installed came with my 2" BB EDIT - found some on 4wd.com
Second question is regarding symptoms of a bad shock. I hit a bump tonight (passenger front wheel) and my front end did a wobble / shake kind of thing. It reminded me of the wobble I used to get with a bad ball joint on a RWD car. Will a bad shock do that? Give a wobble when you hit a bump?

Agree with Kurt as far as where to get new shocks.
for the second part - the wobble thing. There have been numerous discussions on that here, just do a search on "Death Wobble" and you'll see what I mean

A wobble is mostly due to worn suspension or steering components. Shocks (and the steering damper) will at best help mask the problem, but there's likely something else going on...

The shock's job is to stop the spring from oscillating. A bad shock may cause some bouncing. I would look at the complete front end though. FWIW, I've had a leaky rear shock for about 4-5 years now and they still seem to keep the rear end from bouncing.
At least it will flex better off road. ;D

Carl, Dom has BDS shocks in stock for a good price. Make sure you mention that you on NEOW or are in BSJ, he'll give you an even better price. I like the dampening characteristics of the BDS shocks that I run (got them at Dom's).

Carl, If you need a shock I can swing by Lou's and pick it up any day thru Thursday for you and bring to to the meeting Saturday. Lou also carries BDS shocks.

Thanks everyone. Have shocks on order and I'm gonna look over my suspension, see what might be lose or worn
Appreciate all the input!
