hmmm,
so what makes this any different then quickair, viar, etc?
I still think using a a/c compressor with tank (like Kilby's On-Board Air) is the way to go.

the 4.0 has good specs w/ 100% duty cycle. not quite an AC compressor but not bad specs.

I bought a 12v portable air compressor about 18 months from an e-bay store... Here is a (current) link to the one I got: cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/PUMA-12v-1-5-gal-air-compressor-very-handy-L-K_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ43986QQitemZ4588007264When I wanted to do OBA for my ARB lockers, I took it apart and mounted the compressor motor/cylinder in my XJ's rear fender well. If the link in the last message doesn't work, just do a search on e-bay for "12v puma air compressor" and you'll find a bunch of them for $190. I think the stats are ~3.5 cfm, draws ~35 amps, has a regulator and tank (1.75 gal, soft seat valve, safety valve). Peak pressure is 125 PSI. The only thing I had to do was get 6' of 2-conductor, 10 gauge wire and some heavy duty clips to attach it to my battery. Jon Watson

Bryan Ruocco here. Frank I have the Max Air 4.0 with a 3 gallon aluminum tank installed under the hood. Really cool unit. The head rotates so it can be located in lots of places in lots of positions. Purchased it from 4x4rockshop as others have mentioned. IT IS NOT A YORK A/C UNIT BUT IT IS PRETTY GOOD FOR THE MONEY> Show it to ya on the 19th at Coy Hill.
See Ya.
