I found that my front lower control arm bolt had lost its nut along with the washer. My question is: Is this washer just an ordinary washer(seems a bit thick) I thought I read on ROF that you cant buy this washer. Its after hours or I would call the dealership.

I would make one out of another washer. The dealer can probably get one though. I don't know if XJ's had 'em, but my brother in laws' ZJ did. Check the boneyard.

You're talking about the washer that's almost tapered, right? Its really thick and almost has a slight crown to it... I "think" the washer is attached to the bolt on the one side, is that true? Anyway, I think any washer would work.... as long as your arms are securly attached to the bracket, I don't think it really matters how KEV

I don't think there is anything like that on my XJ's lower control arm brackets... The kit I installed (RE adjustable arms) reused the upper CA bolt and replaced the lower CA bolts. Can you just use a grade 8 nut & bolt? Otherwise, call the dealer and ask. JW

If it's an 06, shouldn't it be covered under warranty or did you drive it so damn much that it's over already. Bumper to bumper. Lost nut...I know it's small, but shouldn't that be covered? curious.Same with the bushing, unless you said you worked on it...how are they to know?

You would think they'd cover it. Smileyfish got a starter, front driveshaft, and ball joints on one side replaced under warranty; and his TJ isn't exactly stock (33" tires/4" lift)

Sorry its a bit modified...6" Nth Degree Long Arm kit....The bolt was my fault...Lesson learned always torque your nuts and bolts after every wheeling trip
