The NEA has three parcels of land and they are requesting a scheduled date from each club for it's use. You folks(i.e DOT & DOE) should sign on to the NEA forum and look into some of that land use. Contact Scott Hatch, NEA President if you have any questions or simply log into the board and post with some dates. If I remember correctly, the land is available after June 1st (after mud season) to Nov. something.
Some of the parcels are pretty hardcore (ask my YJ's body...) but each one has more than one trail system and could be run by 31"-33" tire'd Jeeps.
Take advantage of the land use and add some spice to next years trail schedule.

It's been a couple of weeks... Kurt, here is the NEA forum : forum.nea4wd.org/index.phpFour slots on one of the nicer trails are already taken! Log in to the forum or throw me some dates that I can post up (or give me some discretion to request dates). Baystate has supported the NEA since 2001. It would be a shame not to utilize one of our hard earned resources. Let me know! -Joe

I just read some of my emails I'm getting from a brand new club just started and they have next year's sched all set and 90% of the runs are on assoc land.
Yes, I agree with Joe, it would be a great shame if we lost out on this especially since we were the majority of the income with our first year of the Rally.

I would venture to suggest that the Rally has been the major income source for the NEA for the last 4 years!!! Plus, there has always been a good BSJ representation at all the Trail cuts. You're right, it would be a sin if we lost out on trail times.

Jeff, which club is this that you speak of?

Doug, Jeff is probably referring to either Underground Jeeps or New England Jeepz. I had approached both clubs back in spring regarding the overuse of a certain trail. NEJz was very receptive. UJ and I had a pretty rocky start but we got our act together. In a nut shell, they made some changes and enforcements and now they are part of the NEA4WDC. As far as I'm concerned, they are both welcome editions and the extra man power will go along way.
Anyway...now, what's the status with the NEA trails? You should know that I am going to keep bugging you guys until you post up. You can only run the same three trails over and over again.
