Got home just fine. I was more worried about Matt and his electrical problems, and gave him my AAA card just in case. He made it home just fine too.

It was good to see you too, Kelly and everyone else as well. I will be climbing back on board next season (btw, do I get employee discount? I pay what you pay?...). I made it home ok too. That long 2 minute commute from the bank to my driveway was hell. I had a great time and had a chance to show my nephew, Chris (called the "nice Chris") what wheeling in a group is all about. He didn't listen too well though, as every time I took a harder line and told him to go the other way, he was still in my rear view mirror. I met some good folks in my group including the "Somerville" guys, who I called "Silver Flame" and I was the "Red Flame" (Please, no "Flamer" jokes). They witnessed me dragging the side and doors of my YJ through the gullies and rocks with one or two wheels in the air. Oh, and Pat : That was me who left tracks driving up the middle of that rock face. The best part of our group, was that we just flowed through the trails. No matter what obstacles we left paint on, there were no whiners and everyone moved along. Thanks Chris (not the nice one) for leading our group. Chris drives at the creepy crawly "old guy" speed and makes everything look simple. Forget the firebreathing V8's and 10" lift. If you're a new guy, you should be watching Chris and Pat on how to drive off road. Anyway, that's it. It was a good run and I'm glad everyone had a god time and made it home. 23 Jeeps was an awesome number. If I don't see you, I hope everyone has a Happy Holiday. Take care, Joe

One of the "newbies" checking in and all I can say is WOW..............what a great time.
It was my first time on the trail and I have only had my black CJ7 for a few months. Great trails and even better people. My brother Charles and I really enjoyed wheelin with the people in our group. Everyone was VERY helpful and willing to lend advice/encouragement.
Kelly - thanks for everything and making us "newbies" feel welcome.
John (leader) and John (in the rear - Red Cherokee) thanks for a great run. To everyone in between, thanks again for all of the help/advice. I took a bunch of photos and will post a link tonight or tomorrow. I can also email them to people if they want.
My Baystate application is in the mail and I am looking forward to getting involved with the club. ;D
PS - I had NO idea that a Jeep (stock or modified) could do some of that stuff....wow!
Cheers,
Kent

One more newbie checking in! Ditto! We had a great time. This was my first Jeeping experience and it was awesome. I am just sorry I didn't join the club sooner. Pat - Thanks for guiding our group through the trails, and taking the time to show us how to approach some of the more technical parts. I was a little nervous for the first 10 - 15 minutes driving up the road with the deep washouts, but by lunch time I had a lot more confidence in my Jeep and myself. Great trails, great people, and great fun. Can't wait until spring.

I'll throw an "unofficial" run together as soon as it falls. There are a couple of good trails out my way that are nice, one of which you all know about. Wheeling in snow is awesome and fun but keep in mind folks, that min requirements will go up a little. If we have a foot+, 31's and open diffs aren't going to cut it. Getting winched all day is a bummer. Locking diffs/limited slips and bigger meats will be required. Get your XMas lists into Santa soon. If we have decent snow, the NEA snow run is usually in January too. They're fun and offer class6 roads all the way up to trails that some rigs couldn't do without snow. It's a cool time.
