Carl - I had a friend who had a 1970 LT1 (380hp or so). He let me drive it a couple times... those things are sweet!......... no chance you can keep it, stash it, or have your own family member "buy" it!?!?

Hey Mark! Long time. I could hold onto it but since I bought my rig, I don't drive it. Yesterday was the first time I fired it up in almost a year. Been 10 months for sure, maybe 11. Called AAA, told the guy how long its been, he said this might take a while. But I kew it would light up quick. FIRST TURN OF THE KEY! And it never stalled. It runs so good, it's crazy. Took it out and stretched its legs...... ;D I love my heep but it will never explode and jump sideways when I bang second gear. And the sound of mechanical secondaries at WOT, pulling in so much air, low flying birds get caught in my air cleaner...... sweet, sweet music I'll miss that... but my rig won't bottom out when I turn into a driveway

I've had 3 Corvettes, a '68 roadster (Matching numbers, original build sheet car, basket case that never even got started) a '71 big block t-top car (matching numbers, no build sheet, driver) and a 1994 LT1 6spd coupe that was, by far, the most enjoyable car I've ever owned.
Good luck with your sale Carl.
I work PT for a guy that owns two companies, the one I work for is AAA Work Trucks, the other is The Bowtie Shop...specializing in Corvette restoration. He has done countless cars to go on and take NCRS Top Flight honors as well as Bloomington Gold.
Got a few mid-years in the shop now, including two 63 Fuelie cars, one coupe and one roadster, both are silver.

I had a 75 L82 4 speed. I rebuild the engine then snapped a bolt in the rear end and sold it. Was fun while it lasted. Too bad these cars hate NE roads. I use to store mine in a U-haul storage garage, first time I pulled it into the garage I ripped the exhaust off from the cat (75, first year with cat's) back on the 2" step.

I don't think I could get into a Corvette. Pretty sure i couldn't get back out if I did manage to fold myself in there. Sounds good, though. If I hear of anybody looking for a vette I'll point them to your posting
