Hi Guys I bought greasable balljoints for my heep which Jon, Kai and Chris helped me install. the problem is the greasble zerks stick up and will get mashed with the knuckle. Jon mentioned there are -and sorry if I have the term wrong- needle point fittings that sit flush on a surface. I actually saw one on one of the u-joints we pulled (too small so cant swap it). I have been to CAP, Autozone and a couple other places and cant find these fittings. Anyone know who might sell these? Just to be clear Im not looking for the fitting for a grease gun but to am lookling for one to go onto the actual balljoint so the axle shaft knuckles can clear the fitting. Thanks jeff

Anyone with Tom Woods drive shafts also need a needle grease tip for a grease gun. Not knowing about this cost me a new drive shaft after only one year of use.

Jeff can you take a photo?? not much I can take a photo of. we left the fittings out to avoid getting them mashed. and Im not sure I kept the flat smaller version as it was junk off an old part... I think Im going to need to find a screw the right thread and grind the head down to fit in as a plug.... That was Jons other thought but I was hoping to "do it right".....

The one with the needle fitting on the shaft is closest to the transfer case. Their tech section is very good. www.4xshaft.com/index.html

I was actually in Napa this morning looking for those exact same fittings for the new front u-joints! I think a McMaster order may be necessary, anyone know the exact fitting size? i think it's 3/8" but not 100% on that. ( www.mcmaster.com/#button-head-grease-fittings/=3n8m1f, scroll to the bottom of the page to flush-style)

Searched thru the castoffs from the wrench fest and cant find any of the small fittings. PM me your address and I can send it to you via snail mail. Small enough that i think it will be fine in an envelope. not sure Im making it this weekend...
