So here's a hypothetical scenario..With my jeep as is with an automatic and 4.10 gears with d44 front and back (rubicon) and the 7" of lift.. What types of issues, if any will I run into, by adding these tires to my DD? I was going to add 36" x 12.5 R15 I do understand that these tires wear quicker than most, and my jeep is prolly gonna be more of a slug..(I only live once).. Attachments:

I'd say, others with smaller, less knobby tires and less clearance would be jealous!

What types of issues, if any will I run into, by adding these tires to my DD? They will wear out faster. They will flat spot overnight. They will suck in snow and ice on the street. They will wear out your wheelbearings faster. They will wear out your steering faster. Your hearing will degrade. TSL's are a great off road tire, but they are old school. They are not as sticky as some of the new meats out there. Personally, I like my Claws, but my rig only sees a few thousand miles a year (if that), so I can't say how they'd do on a daily driver. Plus, they're too damn wide for a snowy street. If I were to look to a hardcore tire for street use, I'd check out the BFG Crawler or GoodYear Kevlars. Even if you have to step up to a 37", I think their performance (except DEEP mud) is all around better than a TSL.

If you're going to buy bias-ply TSLs get the LTB -- They have a more aggressive tread, wear just as quickly, make as much or more noise, and still flat spot... Nothing to lose... JW

JW Agreed, I also think the LTB are "sticker". I have the 35" LTB and after messing around with them all year I still can not get them balanced well enough to be safe on the highway at any normal speed. I will drive it on the highway if I want but it is not fun at all. I am most likely going to be getting a set of the new Goddyear Wrangler MT/R this spring so I can take my Jeep to work on occasion since I now have over an hour drive one way

MTRs are the best street + trail tire out there In My opinion They grip off road Great wear a little fast on the road i say a 35,000 mile tire at the best I love mine The IROKs are just better

My original plan was to go with the new MT/R's...but I still havent seen much write up on them..I love my current mtr's..but the new design just look aggressive enuff I guess..I will do more research

Im looking at these mtr's right now, and notice they DON'T have blackwall as an option..I am not a fan of white wall...and if i reverse the tire, the tread will be backwards...so I might just have to find a 35" tire that suits my needs...but also hoping I dont ruin my gears with 35's..

Dude : I bought the new DC Crusher and with no wheel weights at all on any tire i can ride the highway with a slight vibration at best ! No noise to speak of, and I just got off my TSL Radials and now i can hear my radio !!. They are 35x12.5 x15 > my 2 cents . FjR68
