Clean the threads. Run a tap through them.
I highly doubt it, but I suppose it could be M12. That thread was used up to 1999 though.

X2 on cleaning and chasing the threads.
Most all of the bolt holes along the side of the 4.0 should either be a 3/8-16 or 10x 1.25mm? (can't remember the exact pitch)
Pull one of the block to engine mount brackets out and use it to compare at the hardware store. If the head of the bolt you pulled has numbers stamped on it (i.e. 8.8 etc..) it's metric.

Call the local dealership and have them look it up...
They can usually answer that sort of question, if they are feeling cooperative.
If you pulled one out take it down to the local hardware store and try different nuts until you find one that fits.
