Anyone have any Christmas/Holiday/Kwanza/etc, etc, etc. traditions you'd like to share? Kwirky ones are welcome as well.
I guess I've got a wierd one. In the last few years when running out of boxes to wrap stuff, I started using other boxes, from the kitchen. So; this year there is a butter box, egg box, cherrios box and probably a few more under the tree before I'm done. hehehe my family knows and expects it now. The kids sometimes forget that good things come in cereal boxes til they open the box. One this year is filled with chocolate santas for them all. One nephew's first Swiss Army knife is in a cous cous box. I should have taped it so much that he needed a knife to open it! Oh well, too late.
They are good for the smaller items, gift certificates and such. I consider it recycling too! lol
I've seen families pass around a pickle ornament around year after year to different members of the family. I think whoever finds it on the tree gets to hide it on theirs the next year. (Have no clue what this has to do with Christmas though....a Pickle?) I've seen whole trees covered with them in one or two stores.
I think there is a pig ornament too that this gets done with. Funny.
We used to go Christmas caroling with my cousins on Christmas eve, do the whole neighborhood of theirs, In the back of a pick up truck, hay...blankets...then go ice skating on a pond. Fire, marshmallows, hot chocolate...mmm. I miss that tradition. It was fun.
What makes your Christmas special?
