does anyone here know where the 02 sensor is located on a 98 wrangler 2.5?, according to my book its located on the Cat Con but I looked and there is nothing there..
i followed the Ex pipe up to the manifold and saw a likeness pointing straight down off the manifold could this be it?

A Stock 98 TJ with little 30 inch tires, a little 4 cyl engine, Replaced the stock springs with 4 slinkys, no lift, 1000lb used Sears boat winch mounted on the front, a rear 1 inch trailer ball used as a rear tow point, and a BIG HEART.

Andy,

The shop manual I have for the 98 with a 2.5 shows 2 oxygen sensors. The supstream O2 ensor is screwed into the exhaust downpipe just below where the exhaust pipe is connected to the exhaust manifold. The second (downstream) oxygen sensor is located on the Cat near it's outlet. It screws in the top of the cat body near it's outlet flange.

I've got a 97 and it has the same O2 sensor setup as yours.
