Who here has a Currie EZ deflator? also Does anyone have any LONG air downs? I ended up putting very small valves in my new rims and although there is no way a rock can reach it, neither can I to use my valve stem puller to air down.

I've got a Currie EZ Deflator... I don't use it much...
I coud be convinced to sell it if you want to make an offer.
I don't use the Currie because I've got a set of Staun deflators...

I like my Currie. It took a few times to get the technique down to make sure that the core is fully pulled out, but once you know how to do it, airing down takes 15 seconds or so max. really fast.

(Got it the same time as your synth cable) Kurt, I like what your thinking. The only thing is will it work on my rims? I put the smaller stems in and now I can't use my tool to take the valve out. The stem is SO close to the sidewall of the rim, that you can't turn the tool. Now, the Currie looks like I might be able to get my fingers in there and twist it on. If if works..... we can talk.... However, I will not be able to attend the next run due to my little girls first birthday party being the same day. Are you ever in the Boston area M-F? Are the Stauns the smaller ones? about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch long? I borrowed Kia's set (not sure which ones they were) and they were a PIA to thread onto the stem. (too small and not much room) Looks like next year, I'll dismount the ring and put in 45 degree stems instead. Now I know...... Jon W, I saw your post too, maybe we'll have to talk as well... Jeff

Jeff, Here is a picture of the Currie & a Staun. It should give you and idea of the size of each. Hopefully this will help you in light of the rim/stem combo you now have. Unfortunately I don't normally get into the Boston area. I could always ship it to you if you think it may be of interest. Kurt

Jeff -
I usually have the Currie burried in the bottom of one of the bins in my XJ. If you remember to ask at the next run we see each other at you can try it out and see if it works for you.

I've been using the Oasis deflaters for about 5 years with no problems. I continue to like them very much. Here's a write up: www.off-road.com/jeep/reviews/oasis.htmJust screw them on and then by the time you're disconnected your tires are done. max

Max, Those are the ones that might work. Are you ever on the Boston area? Or anywhere along the Pike?

Jeff,
Usually not. Why, would you like to see/try them?
I will be at the Jeep 101 next Saturday though.

I gotta plug the stauns. One thing you can do that makes things move quicker is actually drive w/ them on, and it will air down by the time you get to the first obsticle... -mike
