Anyone had any experience cutting out the rear fender on a Cherokee? I'm trying to gain as much as possible, but don't want to go any further than the top pinch weld. I have to fit the new 36" Irocks when they come in ya know! Just dreamin'... I just don't want to cut up my 33's anymore than they are.

I have plenty of experience cutting XJ fender openings!!!! Are you planing to keep your stock flares or go with somthing different? My current setup runs 35 inch SSRs and TJ rear flares (cut in two like Bushwacker flares) but I have retained stock flares and cut enough to fit 34 inch LTBs before. How much you'll need to cut depends on how much lift you have and the actual size of the tires. John

I've been cutting to fit 34x10.50 LTBs this year... I didn't really remove a lot of material and I added bumpstops front and rear. The bumpstops make a big difference in what you have to cut. I also adjusted the front wheel position by extending my control arms ~3/4". Yesterday at Carnage Hill we determined I need to cut another 1/4" or so when one of the front flares fell off on the drive back to the gas station... JW
