I need input on tires for wheeling... Id like to know which tire would be the best all round application for all of the Places Baystate Jeepers wheel?...Im not concerned with Street performance because I have a set of BFG ATs for that....Im running a 4cyl with two lockrites and feel that anything over 33" would work against me.... any suggestions? what works well grabbing rocks and paddleing through mud?

There are a bunch of threads on here about tires... The answer to your question is there is no perfect answer. This thread has a lot of discussion you may want to review: baystatejeepers.proboards49.com/index.cgi?board=techstuff&action=display&thread=1143768752JW

There aren't too many of us "Squirrel pushers" in the club. ;D I'd have to say that my old BFG muds (33's) were pretty good and always got me home (and survived some evil trails at Paragon too). I like my new 35" Baja Claws as well. Seeing as how you already have a street tread, if it were me, I'd be looking for a good set of swampers. I think you would do well with regular TSL's or even a nice set of Boggers. The 33" TSL's are 33.7" tall and are probably the biggest 33 you're going to get for the money. Boggers are just plain b!tch'n!!! ( I'd love to get a set of 38's) and would completely kick azz on the trail. Be forewarned that bias tires flat spot overnight and generally take a pound of lead to make them balance. If you don't like the sound of that, then stick to radials (swamper makes radial TSL's too.) Anyway, theres probably a million write ups on tires. Do some homework and price around.

Rich Bellevue has two sets of tires:
33" boggers and 33" BFG Muds.
He says the BFGs outperform the boggers in EVERY condition, except for huge mud bogs.
Boggers are only designed for going straight through a giant mud hole.
Check our Trxus or SSR's for swampers.
BFG MTs or Goodyear MT/Rs would be a bit more road friendly options.
