When I went to SOA, 8.8 & stock springs I didn't have to touch the driveshaft. ;D If you use the M.O.R.E 8.8 perch's you can adjust your axle forward and backwards by and inch. The perch's have 3 holes in them for positoning the centering pin. I used the middle position. Worked out great. Just about the same extension on the slip spline after the conversion.

There is a shop in N Reading a friend of mine used a few times and has been happy with... Can't remember the name though. I'll try to get it and post it, or have him post it. JW

JW North Shore Axle & Machine, Inc 126 Main St North Reading, MA 01864 978-664-2300 I've had him work on my rear driveshaft twice, no problems. This time, I handed him the yoke from my super shorty SYE, the 8.8 flange-to-U-joint adapter, and the current DS I had, and pretty much said 'Make it work'. Guy knows his stuff, and then some (ie he told me what F-250 had the 1310-1330 conversion U-joint that was used etc.) My last job w/ him cost me $85 in labor & another $100 in parts (he had to replace a couple of U-joints & a piece on my Double Cardan joint). -mike
