Where did you buy it from? It took a month to get mine from Quardratec. Now it'll take me a month to get to install it. I MAY be doing it this weekend. Do you have a Body lift? (TJ's have full frames you know ) If not you may need the spacer kit or have to do a little mod's to some of the fuel lines.

Probably around and hour. Depending on how much gas is in there Super ASE certified pro mechanic Joe could probably do it in 1 hour! Probably take me 2-3 hours. You gotta be really careful with all of the sensors and fuel lines... as well as the small clips that hold everything together. Good luck! KEV

Super ASE certified pro mechanic Joe could probably do it in 1 hour! That actually reminds me of a little story from my high school days. My brother had a date with a hot chick but had blown the transmission in his 1974 Olds Omega (think Chevy Nova)drag racing. Well, we picked up a new TH350 from the local speed shop and installed the transmission in under an hour so he could make his date! The wrenches were flying! Unfortunately, he only dated her for a short time. He still has his Oldsmobile though ;D

One of the best lines from "The Gumball Rally" was when the two old guys in the Mercedes were talking about how one of their wives kept trying to get him to get rid of the car...
"Well, that's German engineering for you...the car outlasted her"'

JW You will break at least one, or at least you will spin one or more of the stupid carriage bolts that stupid Chrysler used to hold the tank in. Matt & I spun 3, then broke both of the bolts on the straps. Including the trip to Home Depot for j-bolts for the straps, took us 3 hours (which was good, because it pouring rain as soon as we finished.)

Poison Spyder and some others can be placed directly over the existing skid. Check in to it!

Poison Spyder and some others can be placed directly over the existing skid. Check in to it! You loose ground clearance, while w/ the Kilby you gain. However not much.

FWIW - I put a Warn on mine this winter. All the bolts came out fine. Just PB them a little ahead of time. Biggest PITA is running the tank low and then siphoning the rest of the gas out to reduce the weight. Time comsuming... The re-install on the YJ was a snap.

..besides the fact that i am down at least 4 gallons in capacity since my stock skid is so abused... I gained a few gallons of usable gas back when I put on the warn one this winter... Ryan, did you install this thing yet or what? We want to know how long it actually took? KEV
