Upgrades for TJ electrical and starter

My alternator is making the "bearing death whine" and the starter solenoid needs to be persuaded by a blunt object, does anyone have any suggestions for replacement of these items?

I was looking at the Mean Green or the Powermaster as acceptable replacements...(big bucks though)

Which one or are there any other manufacturers out there...?

For a little background, in the near future I will be installing a 8-9K# winch and 1000-2000watt power inverter...

I don't know if it's something you'd be interested in, but my next big upgrade will be a Premier Power Welder. It comes with a 170+ amp alternator, obviously a welder, and you can plug things into it. It's up around $1000, but a nice upgraded alternator is $4-500 bucks anyway and you won't need the inverter. With some people spending $4000 on a suspension, it really isn't all that bad, except, if you don't weld.

I don't really have a need for a welder just yet but that is an idea that I'm glad you brought up... Something to ponder.

Probably, but where to mount all of the stuff under the hood? The TJ doesn't have the room that my YJ did.
