Scott, Not sure if I'll make the run but if I do, I'll show you what I mean about the recessed hitch not working for crud. Otherwise, it was an OK bumper. Jeff Jeff, I'm really close to ordering the Jeeperman rear, I'm not really interested in towing anything with the TJ. BUT I was just wondering why you can't tow anything with it. IS there no way to hook up safety chains? Can't get the pin into the receiver? What??? Other than that issue, how it it holding up? Thanks, Scott

Scott, I sold mine about 4 years ago. Didn't feel safe towing my small trailer with it. From the web, it looks like the same design. When you put the reciever hitch in, it hits the back of the jeep. You then have to saw-zal off most of your reicever until it fits. This doesn't leave a lot of extra metal for support on the outer side of the pin hole. Not sure if I just confused you more Jeff

I put Bulletproof bumpers on my LJ a few months ago.
I put on an FF1 front, FF1RS rear with swing out tire carrier and ricochet cargo rack. The swing out tire carrier holds the spare, hi lift jack and two jerry cans of gas. it latches closed and easily swings open to get into your tailgate, it also latches open.
Yes they are expensive and heavy but heavy to me says they are solid. I already bounced off a tree with the front right corner of the bumper and there is no damage to the bumper at all. Their moto is you bend it we buy it!
The front and rear both have 2" receivers and pairs of 11,000 pound D-rings.
I haven't had them long enough to comment on how the powder coat stands up.
Mike at Bulletproof walked me through all the options on the phone and was great to work with. He is in CA and not an early riser so call after 1:00PM our time.
I am very happy with them.
